Structure

The International Ice Hockey Federation is the official organizer of the IIHF World Championship.

In May 2006, the IIHF Congress appointed the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation as organizer of the 2011 IIHF World Championship.

The IIHF transferred all commercial rights (marketing, media, internet, merchandising etc.) exclusively to Infront Sports and Media AG until and inclusive of the 2017 event.
