Huge interest in 2011 IIHF World Championship tickets.

2011 IIHF World Championship, Slovakia ticket sales have started successfully. In the first seven days 18 818 tickets were sold for the historic Bratislava and Košice championship (29.4. – 15.5.2011). From the total of 392´640 tickets set for sales further 34´940 being reserved.

The biggest interest in Ticketportal outlets was in Bratislava, followed by Czech Prague.

“There is a huge interest in tickets. We are just sorry the arena capacities are not bigger. We heard there was a interest of 7 thousand fans from Latvia, what is nearly the whole arena capacity in Bratislava,” told 2011 IIHF World Championship OC Chairman Igor Nemeček.

Tickets will be freed up in a number of phases. In addition to Preliminary Round - Group A ticket package, there are still other Round Tickets tickets available, as well as packages for all games in Košice.
