Slovak hockey fans still have opportunity to purchase tickets to Germany

Tickets for 2010 IIHF World Championship, Germany (7 to 23 May 2010) are still on sale.

As the representatives of Organizing Committee 2010 IIHF WM Franz Reindl and Ziegfeld Henner informed, tickets for all Slovak matches in main A-group in Cologne were still on sale . For the opening match against Russia, on 9 May are still around 3,160 tickets up for sale. Fo ther other two matches against Belarus and Kazakhstan only one third of the tickets from a total of 18 500 Cologne Lanxess Arena seats have been sold to date.

 

The Organizing Committee then informed that they had already sold aprox. 340 thousand tickets, which is about 52 percent of maximum number of tickets. There should even be around 1500 tickets for the final match still available. The only game for which tickets are sold out is the opening match between Germany and the USA which is to be held in Gelsenkirchen, is the FC Schalke 04 home ground. The Germans plans to welcome over 76-thousand fans to the Veltins Arena, which would mean being entered into the Guinness Book of Records, because the world record to date is set at 74 455 spectators. The opening match not only attracted media attention, but also fans from all around the world. In addition to match itself there will be a series of accompanying events, including performances by Scooter, who recorded the championships official anthem "Stuck on replay".

 

Tickets for individual games are sold at prices ranging from 9 to 164 euros. There are also various packages, such as Slovak matches in the initial group or for all games at specific arenas. Tickets for games are also serve as local and regional transport tickets on the day of the duel.

 

The Organizing Committee for the 2011 IIHF World Championship – set to take place in Bratislava and Košiciach, Slovakia - closely collaborate with the German side - Something confirmed by the OC Chairman Igor Nemecek: “collaboration is great, we have known these people for many years. They have been helpful from the offset, They are always glad to answer any questions we may have”. Representatives from Kosice and Bratislava will visit the up and coming championships in Germany and will discuss individual sections with the organisers directly. “It is traditional for the future organizers to attend the World Championship the year before their turn comes round”, said Nemecek.
