Prime Minister Iveta Radičová accompanied by the mayor of Bratislava Milan Ftacnik and Nové Mesto mayor Rudolf Kusý  inspected the Bratislava Ondrej Nepela winter stadium (known as the Orange Arena during the World Cup) on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister went into a cabin, looked over the ice rink, training halls and where the Slovak Hockey Hall of Fame is to be located.  Inside the new building  said: "Everyone is now enjoying the moment after the completion of the arena. It is an excellent opportunity bolster Slovakia’s reputation and irrespective of how well we do at the championship. After all, the stadium will go on to serve the public and our children. I must admit that I saw something well above-standard, there are two unique halls and truly luxurious dressing room ", said Iveta Radičová

Subsequently, the mayor of Bratislava's third district Rudolf Kusý spoke concerning the approval: "An hour ago I signed the document, and thus everything is as it should be. I believe everybody will be happy.”

Bratislava mayor Milan Ftáčnik mentioned that the arena was owned by the city, but the reconstruction is the result of cooperation between the state and the city. It would not have been possible without state assistance in his opinion. According to Ftáčnik can handle not only hockey events, but was conceived as a multipurpose hall, also facilitating other sporting and cultural events. “Bratislava has simply never had a hall with this kind of capacity before” stated Ftáčnik.
