First championship tickets bought through internet
There has already been enormous interest in 2011 IIHF World Championship tickets. In the first three hours almost 3800 tickets were sold and a huge 23 800 reserved. The first ticket was sold via the internet at 11:12 a.m.
Naturaly, the greatest interest was for pleliminary group A tickets – the group in which the Slovak team are set to play their initial games along with Russia, Germany and Slovenia. After today’s initial flood of ticket sales Group A tickets are now unavailable. Fans have no need to panic, there is still the chance to obtain tickets for the Group A.
After the expiry of the seven day reservation holding period unclaimed tickets are returned to the system and become available for other fans. Fans should regularly check the 2011 IIHF World Championship website, or the exclusive ticket outlet’s site: www.ticketportal.sk (ticketportal.hu, ticketportal.cz, ticketportal.pl) being that further tickets are to be gradually freed up.
Other posibilities to secure the teams Slovakia, Russia, Germany and Slovenia games include the purchase of 12 ticket packages for the Qualifying/Relegation Round in which fans have a garaunteed three games featuring the Slovak, Russian, German and Slovanian teams. Even though there is unknow who the opponents are.
