Organizing Committee concludes contract on sale of championship tickets.

Hockey fans will be able to purchase 2011 IIHF World Championship tickets via the internet. The 2011 IIHF World Championship Organizing Committee has concluded an exclusive ticket sales contract with Ticketportal SK L.t.d.

It will be possible to purchase tickets though all Ticketportal ticket outlets – i.e. via the internet and in outlets in  Bratislava, Košice, Prešov and Žilina Ticketportal has branches in five European countries – Slovakia, the Czech republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovenia. Ticket sales are planned directly in the two arenas themselves – in Bratislava and in Košice during the 2011 IIHF  World Championship.

Ticket sales are set to commence in September 2010 and more than 350 000 tickets for the 56 championship games are to be issued.
