Day ticket sales commenced Wednesday 1st December.
The second phase of 2011 IIHF World Championship (29.4.-15.5.2011) ticket sales was launched at Wednesday 1st December at 12:00 p.m. with great success. Exactly 149 days before the 2011 IIHF World Championship starts, day tickets went on sale for certain Championship days.
In the first hour more than 6100 tickets were purchased and reserved in day tickets ‘packages’. In addition to day tickets, round tickets and event passes are still on sale for phases of the Championship. Ticket sales to date total 135 000.
“The enormous interest in the first hour of day ticket sales pleased us. Bratislava and Košice championship tickets make interesting and valuable Christmas presents,” said Head of Financing and Ticketing Zuzana Kelecsényiová whilst also mentioning that the 7-day reservation period would only be active until the end of 2010. "From the beginning of the new year tickets will have to be paid for immediately after being reserved." added Kelecsényiová.
The cheapest day ticket will cost €35 – for a pair of tickets for qualifying/relegation round, category 2 in Košice. Day tickets for preliminary round games will be on sale for €96 (category 1, Bratislava/Košice), €70 (category 2, Bratislava) and €53 (category 2, Košice). Round tickets and event passes for the entire event shall remain on sale.
