Huge interest in IIHF 2011 World Championship tickets.

2011 IIHF World Championship ticket sales have started in big style. The number of ticket owners for the historic Bratislava and Košice championship is rising by the minute (29.4. – 15.5.2011).

In the first 24 hours 6113 tickets were sold, with a further 32 485 being reserved. From the total of 392 640 tickets set for sales almost 10% are now taken.

“The interest in tickets has really pleased us. Despite the preliminary Group A round in which Slovakia are set to play being sold out, there is no reason for fans to hang their heads. Slovak game tickets will still be for sale,” assured 2011 IIHF World Championship general director Igor Nemeček

Tickets will be freed up in a number of phases. In addition to Group A ticket packages there are still other preliminary group tickets available, as well as packages of 12 tickets for qualification/elimination rounds and eight-ticket playoff packages.
