On Friday the 11th of February - during the Slovakia Cup the area surrounding the Ondrej Nepela Arena will be used for a test drive of the transport project set to be implemented for the 2011 IIHF World Championship. The transport organisation project will be tested between 12:00 and 22:00.
The first stage concerns safeguards for inhabitants within the vicinity of the arena.
Access will be secured to the adjoining streets with the aid of police entry control, Portable traffic signs and traffic restrictions on certain streets through the creation of one way routes.
Traffic restrictions will be enforced in two zones: The southern section containing Trnavská, Vajnorská and Bajkalská streets. The southern section containing Trnavská, Bajkalská, Záhradnícka and Jégého streets. Motor vehicle access to the restricted zone will be possible on the basis of official addresses listed on ID cards, for garage owners on the basis of a certificate of ownership, and for companies on the basis of a commercial registry extract.
The second phase of the project is to safeguard stadium visitors.
The city bound lane from Bajkalská/Trnavská streets through to the Jégeho/Trnavská crossroads will be closed to the public. And available only by public transport. The opposite lane will be open through to Trnavska street without restrictions
