So far a grand total of over 160 000 tickets have been sold for the 2011 IIHF WM. “We are very happy with the sales in Bratislava. We are expecting interest to be raised in Košice. Teams such as Canada, The United States and Sweden are great attractions for all hockey fans,” said OC Chairman Igor Nemeček. Day tickets for preliminary round games in Košice cost €96 (category 1) and €53 (category 2).
“Tickets are still on sale. In Bratislava I would like to draw attention to the qualifying/relegation round packages in which there are sure to be three in which the Slovak team will be playing. From among the day tickets on sale since December there are still tickets available for the defending champion’s games – the Czech Republic,” said Head of Financing and Ticketing Zuzana Kelecsényiová. She also pointed out that the seven day reservation holding period would continue to be valid until the end of the year. “After that, tickets can only be bought directly – without the possibility to make reservations,” she warned.
Tickets can be purchased via the internet: official page and www.ticketportal.sk, in Ticketportal outlets around Slovakia and in selected Ticketprotal outlets in the Czech republic, Hungary, and Poland or via the Ticket-Hotline:. +421/917-86 86 86 (9:00 – 21:00 CET).
