On Sunday, November 21st, representatives of the Swiss National Hockey Team came to Kosice for a site visit before the forthcoming 2011 IIHF World Championship. The purpose of the visit was to see the arena and the hotel where the players will train, play and stay. After visiting the Steel Arena and the Yasmin Hotel, the Swiss guests were speaking in superlatives only.

„We have known the arena yet as we played several tournaments in Kosice in last few years, so we know that the arena is of the first class quality. What was new for us, and it was a very pleasant surprise, was the fact that the practise rink is an internal part of the hall, which is very convenient for the players. As for the accomodation, I think that our players will be very nicely surprised by the comfort prepared for them. We are really looking forward to coming back in April. We are sure that the championship will be prepared on the top level,“ said Sean Simpson, the Swiss Team Head Coach. His words were confirmed by marcel Enkerli, the Team Manager.
