The Arena Zurich-Kloten built in 1997 – also called Schluefweg – is home base to the Swiss National League hockey team, Kloten Flyers. It is idyllically located by the woods, yet close to Kloten Railway Station.
The stadium is one of Switzerland's most modern ice hockey arenas. Thanks to its girder-free steel roof, all seats have unobstructed views onto the ice field.
Apart from many ice hockey games and tournaments, the Arena Zurich-Kloten has also been venue to major events such as the Swisscom Challenge tennis tournament and the 2004 Floorball World Championship.
