QUEBEC CITY – Alois Hadamczik has resigned as the head coach of the Czech national team after his team lost to Sweden in the quarterfinals. Hadamczik took over the national team from Vladimir Ruzicka after the World Championship title in 2005. He won Olympic bronze and World Championship silver in 2006 but his team failed to make the final-four in 2007 and 2008, and will drop back to the fifth place in the 2008 IIHF World Ranking. Hadamczik told to Czech journalists in Quebec City that he has offers from abroad but he’s also rumoured with Czech club Vitkovice Ostrava.
