STOCKHOLM – The 2010 IIHF InLine Hockey World Championship will take place in the Swedish city of Karlstad.

The Swedish Ice Hockey Association announced that the tournament is allocated to the Lofbergs Lila Arena. The 2001-built arena is home Farjestad and was one of the venues of the 2002 Ice Hockey World Championship.

It will be the first time the InLine World Championship will take place in Sweden, whose InLine team won gold in 2002, 2005 and 2007.

The 2008 InLine World Championship will be in Bratislava, Slovakia, June 21-29, while the 2009 event is in Ingolstadt, Germany.
