I was five.

Mike Green because I compare my style of play to his, and he’s my idol.

Why do you wear number 22?
My original number was 19 but this is my second favourite. My brother wears 22, so I guess it’s partly for him

I have to be the last one out of the dressing room and last one off the ice. I’ve been doing that since I was little, taking care of the others, I guess you could say.

Who is your best friend on the team?
We’re all chums.

How many brothers and sisters do you have?
I have two brothers. One is at the University of Manitoba, and a younger brother who is in bantam.

What’s on your iPod?
All sorts of things—rap—I like Li’l Wayne.

SMS probably.

If you could learn a new language, what would it be?

What country would you most like to visit?

Who is the most famous person you’ve ever met?
Ovechkin. Our coach is friends with Washington’s coach, and when we were there we went to a practice and met him then.

What’s the best thing about this tournament?
Just playing with the best players in Canada. It’s a memory that will remain forever.
