CALGARY – The Czech Republic got goals from five different players to defeat Slovakia 5-2 in the game to decide 5th-6th places.

The Czechs jumped into a 3-0 lead after the frist period thanks to goals from Radek Faksa, Petr Holik, and Vojtech Mozik.

Although Milos Bubela made it a 3-1 game at 14:17 of the second, Dominik Uher increased the Czech lead once again just two minutes later. Teams exchanged goals in the third.

The Czechs outshot the Slovaks 46-31. Petr Mrazek was the winning goalie, finishing the tournament on a winning note. The Slovaks used both goalies.
