For local organizers the last month is the busiest: construction work at the arenas is about to begin, volunteer education is in its final steps and all the well prepared plans are about to kick into action. The official car fleet, from Škoda, is now luckily helping out with transportation.

Tickets for the World Championship games are still available, both for Helsinki and Stockholm. In Helsinki, tickets are sold by Lippupiste (www.lippu.fi). Besides the single game tickets, hospitality and travel packages are available as well. Those seeking the luxury treatment can also rent a private sky box from where to enjoy the games.

For the games played in Stockholm, ticket sales are organized by Ticnet (www.ticnet.se). Like in Finland, a wide range of travel and hospitality packages are available on top of single game tickets.

Škoda to set a new Guinness World Record

Since 1993, Škoda has had the title of the Main Official Sponsor of the IIHF Ice Hockey Championship. This 20-year long co-operation has been noted even in the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest main sponsorship of a world championship.

As part of their sponsorship, Škoda has now handed over the official cars to the local organizers. In Helsinki 25 and in Stockholm 20 Škoda cars will transport the Championship visitors during the tournament days.
