HELSINKI – French captain Laurent Meunier will miss Monday’s evening game against Finland since he has flown back to Geneva for the birth of his child.

The 34-year-old forward, who plays for the DEL’s Straubing Tigers, will be back in the lineup against Russia on Thursday.

Meunier is participating in his eighth elite division IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship. So far, he has recorded one assist in two games.
