The Organizing Committee is satisfied with the ticket sales in particular for games of the Swedish national team. “The games involving the Swedish national team where tickets are still available are the ones against Denmark, Norway and Belarus. For these games tickets are still available so fans have the opportunity to be on site and experience the Swedish national team live at the World Championship on home ice in Stockholm,” says Tony Wiréhn, General Secretary for the Swedish organizing committee. “For other games of the Swedish national team, it is difficult or impossible to get tickets.” The demand for tickets for the World Championship quarter-finals is high and the tickets for the gold medal game are virtually sold out. The goal is to sell 200,000 tickets for the World Championship games played in Stockholm, which co-hosts the 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship with Helsinki, Finland.
