The Finnish capital of Helsinki welcomes international hockey fans back to Hartwall Arena to enjoy a second year of world class ice hockey. Ticket sales for the Helsinki venue of 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship have now begun.

The Finnish capital of Helsinki welcomes international hockey fans back to Hartwall Arena in May 2013 to enjoy a second consecutive year of world class ice hockey. Ticket sales for the Helsinki venue of 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship tournament have now begun.

There are several ticket categories, depending on the game. Ticket packages have been replaced by single and day tickets. Tickets for the games played in Helsinki are available through the Lippupiste ticket channels, excluding R-kioskis.

Most of the tickets for the games in Helsinki are sold as two-game day tickets. However, single tickets are available to some group stage games and the quarterfinals from the very beginning.

Adult tickets from 19 Euros, children from 9 Euros

Ticket prices to the games played in Helsinki start from 19 euros for adults. Prices vary depending on the games included in the ticket and seat category.

Children between 4 and 12 in age have their own category. An adult who buys one regular-priced ticket (either a single ticket or a day ticket) can also buy three children’s tickets. The prices start from nine euros, and the seats are located in the lower level.

The 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will be played in Stockholm (Globe Arena) and Helsinki (Hartwall Arena).

Host country Finland will play its group stage together with 2012 IIHF World Champion Russia, silver medallist Slovakia, Germany, Latvia, France, Austria, and USA in Helsinki. The four best teams will advance to quarterfinals, to be played within the group in Helsinki.

The other preliminary round group in Stockholm consists of eight teams. Co-host Sweden, Canada, Czech Republic, Belarus, Switzerland, Norway, Denmark, and Slovenia will play their preliminary round and quarterfinals in Stockholm. Also both of the semi-finals and the medal games will be played in Stockholm.

Tickets for the Stockholm games of the 2013 IIHF World Championship are sold by Swedish operator Ticnet and are available now.
