Four teams add players

Czechs, Denmark, Slovakia, Slovenia extend rosters

STOCKHOLM/HELSINKI – Four teams have registered new players on Thursday before the games to extend their rosters for the 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship.

The Czech Republic added goalkeeper Ondrej Pavelec and forward Petr Koukal, who have already been with the team before. The Czechs can still add two additional players before their roster is full.

After the news from the NHL, the Danish national team added forward Thor Dresler, who has already been practising with the team, while keeping the last spot on the roster open for forward Nicklas Jensen, who will join from the Vancouver Canucks in the upcoming days.

The Slovak national team added forward Marko Dano, who has been with the team before, and can still add two additional skaters before the roster is full.

Slovenia filled its roster by registering defenceman Luka Tosic and forward Gal Koren.
