TORONTO – The Hockey Hall of Fame received the jersey of Lithuanian national team player Aimas Fiscevas, who scored six goals within just 21:01 minutes this April at the 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division I Group B.

The jersey was brought to Toronto by Bernd Haake, the German head coach of the Lithuanian national team, and was received by Darren Boyko, Manager Business Development of the Hockey Hall of Fame, to be on display soon.

It is believed that the 19-year-old set a goal record for a rookie in any tier of men’s senior competition in the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship program.

Fiscevas was without a goal in his first four games with the men’s national team at the Division I Group B event in Donetsk and the team had zero points. It had to battle against relegation after nine consecutive years at Division I level in the last game against an Estonian team that had also been winless.

Estonia earned a 2-1 lead midway through the game but eventually Lithuania won the game 12-3 thanks to Fiscevas’ goal explosion.

The second line accounted for eight goals including six from Fiscevas, who spent the last two seasons with Baltica Vilnius that plays in the second tier of Russian junior hockey in the MHL-B.

With his first goal for the men’s national team he tied the game at three at 14:01 of the second period and by the end of the game he scored six goals within 21:01 minutes and a third-period hat trick within 3:36 minutes.

“This is the best memory in my career and it is a game I will remember for the rest of my life,” Fiscevas told IIHF.com following the game. Soon he can find his donated jersey in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto that has an international section.

Fiscevas hails from Elektrenai, known as Lithuania’s hockey hotbed and birthplace of Darius Kasparaitis and Dainius Zubrus, the only two players hailing from the country who have played in the NHL.
