- “We are very pleased that ticket sales are doing so well right now. We've sold 120,000 of the approximately 300,000 tickets available for the 30 games at the Globe Arena,” says Lars G. Karlsson, General Secretary of the Swedish Organising Committee for the 2012 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship.
The opening game will be played on 4th May 2012, and this year's World Championship will be co-hosted by Finland and Sweden. Apart from the Tre Kronor team, Russia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Norway, Latvia, Denmark, and Italy will play in the Swedish group at the Globe Arena.
- “There are still tickets left, and this applies to all 30 games. So far, no match is sold out, but we see that the games in which Sweden plays are popular and of course also the quarter-finals,” says Lars G. Karlsson. |
