To be a World Championship mascot and entertain the crowd is a spectacular job. But it requires both stamina and strength to be able to carry the large and heavy World Championship mascot on your shoulders.
Last weekend, the World Championship organization in Sweden organized a competition to be the World Championship mascot. A four-man jury looked at how students from Kalle Flygare Theatre School moved with the mascot and how they accomplished the task of getting the audience going, in this case, the jury themselves.
“It's great to have an audition for World Championship mascot. Kalle Flygare Theatre School has shown great interest and I hope we can offer students an unforgettable experience during the World Championship tournament in May,” says Lars G. Karlsson, VM-General and a member of the jury.
The four students who were selected will get the chance to show their skills at the Oddset Hockey Games in Stockholm. These four students are: John Gunnarsson, Robin Knutas, David Carlsson and Magnus Löpare. |
