HELSINKI – The Belarusian national team extended its roster by adding forward Artur Gavrus. He is expected to play in tonight’s game against Norway.
Belarus can still add an additional skater before the roster will be full.
The 19-year-old winger split the season between Neman Grodno of the Belarusian Extraliga and the Ontario Hockey League’s Owen Sound Attack.
The native of Raubichi will play in his first World Championship with the men’s national team. He was the captain of this year’s U20 national team.
Gavrus was drafted last year in the sixth round by the New Jersey Devils. |
