STOCKHOLM – Hockey Canada will add Vancouver Canucks defenceman Dan Hamhuis. He is expected to arrive in Sweden on Saturday.
Hamhuis, 30, has represented Canada internationally on six previous occasions, including four World Championships, winning gold in 2007. Hamhuis also played for Canada at two IIHF World Junior Championships. He led all Vancouver defencemen in scoring in 2012/2013, with 24 points in 47 games.
Canada now has 23 players on its roster, including three goaltenders, eight defencemen and 12 forwards. After adding Hamuis, Canada will still be able to add two additional skaters. |
