It is the eleventh time Sweden hosts the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship and the second consecutive year together with Finland and Helsinki. The expectations are high for a unique experience when the best national teams clash in Stockholm and Helsinki. All nations bring very strong teams to the 2013 World Championship and it will, according to most experts, be a close call on which team that will raise the cup comes Sunday, 19th May.
One of the highest priorities in the Swedish preparations have been to make sure that the experience of the 2013 World Championship in Stockholm will be an event to remember, both inside and around the arena.
Therefore the Fan Zone will be full of different experiences for all ages and fans. Great artists on stage such as Adam Tensta, Zara Larson, The Moniker, Da Buzz, DJ Sara Varga, Panetoz, Amy Diamond and Broken Door will mix with different hockey stars.
There will be a great activity area for kids of all ages with shooting ramps, robot goalies and much more. For the fans that are some years older, the Sport Bar will offer a Fan TV with a studio that will be visited by hockey players during the event.
There will also be daily unique and great ticket offers for the ones who visit the Fan Zone area during the two weeks.
"We want the 2013 World Championship to be a great experience for everyone to visit, not only to the games but also around the arena where there will be events and activities to explore," says Malin Eldh, Head of Marketing at the Swedish Organizing Committee. |
