Former Swiss national team goalie Robert Meier passed away at the age of 73.

Meier was among the top goaltenders in the Swiss league in the ‘60s and led the Grasshopper Club Zurich to the Swiss championship and Cup title in 1966. He represented Switzerland in three IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship B-Pool tournaments between 1965 and 1967.
