The Swiss public broadcaster SRG serves as the official host broadcaster for this 18-camera HD production. The inaugural event, an IIHF-NHL-Ovation joint-venture, will be beamed to fans throughout Europe and North America by Victoria Cup TV rights holders. On Tuesday, September 30th, viewers can tune in to see SC Bern playing the New York Rangers in the first NHL vs. National League A match-up in hockey history. The following evening, October 1st, in a run-up to the inaugural Victoria Cup game, two teams of hockey legends from Switzerland and Russia will play one another in a special exhibition game at 17:00 CET. At 19:30 CET, fans worldwide can watch a historic rivalry re-ignite as the New York Rangers take on the European club champions, Russia’s Metallurg Magnitogorsk. The Victoria Cup marks the first time the NHL has played a Russian club in seventeen years.
