MUNICH – The German Ice Hockey Association announced the inline hockey national team for the 2011 IIHF InLine Hockey World Championship that begins Sunday in Pardubice, Czech Republic.

The Germans can count not only on inline hockey players, but also on ice hockey professionals that will join the team including Thomas Greilinger, who will participate in his second World Championship in a month.

The forward most recently played for Germany’s ice hockey national team in the 2011 IIHF World Championship and in the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Ingolstadt, where Greilinger plays in the German league, will also be next year’s venue of the IIHF InLine Hockey World Championship.

Other players well known to ice hockey fans include Alexander Dück (Iserlohn Roosters), Eduard Lewandowski (Atlant Mytishi, RUS) and Jochen Vollmer (EHC München).
