ZURICH – The Japanese Ice Hockey Federation had to withdraw from yet another IIHF event following the natural disaster in the country.

Japan cannot send a team in the time of national grief to the 2011 IIHF InLine Hockey World Championship, which will take place in Pardubice, Czech Republic, June 19-25.

The team was seeded into the Division I’s Group D and will be replaced by Argentina. Argentina, which was relegated last year, will take Japan’s place in the schedule with no further changes needed.
