HELSINKI/STOCKHOLM – Germany and Sweden registered one player each today for the 2012 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship.
Nashville Predators winger Patric Hörnqvist was already announced on Thursday and was registered today in time for the game against Italy.
It will be his first appearance with the national team since the 2010 Olympic Winter Games and his third World Championship after 2007 and 2008.
The Swedes have now registered two goalkeepers, seven defencemen and 14 forwards, leaving two spots open on the roster for one goalie and one skater.
Germany completed its roster by registering a third goalkeeper, Dimitri Pätzold from the Hannover Scorpions.
