HELSINKI – Hockey Canada announced Thursday the addition of defenceman Kris Russell to Canada’s National Men’s Team roster for the 2012 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship.
After adding the St. Louis Blues defenceman, Canada will have a complete roster reaching the maximum of 25 players, including three goalkeepers, nine defencemen and 13 forwards.
Russell will be representing Canada for a fifth time in international play. He played at the 2010 IIHF World Championship and won gold medals with Canada’s National Junior Team at the 2006 and 2007 IIHF World Junior Championships. |
