HELSINKI – USA Hockey announced that Craig Smith will be added to the roster for the 2012 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship.
The centre is the second player from the Nashville Predators to join his national team for the event after Switzerland’s Roman Josi.
Smith played his first IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship one year ago in Slovakia. He finished second on the team in points (3+3=6) and was named one of Team USA’s best three players of the tournament.
After registering Smith, the Americans will have three goalkeepers, seven defencemen and 14 forwards on the roster, leaving one spot open for a skater until the maximum roster size is reached. |
