2008 camp comes to a close in Vierumäki

VIERUMÄKI, Finland – The IIHF Women’s Development Camp came to a close on Saturday as 290 participants played in their last games in Finland at the week-long hockey extravaganza.

Thirty-seven nations from five continents joined forces for a week of learning and development.  While there was plenty of action on the ice, a good portion of the development took place off the ice. In attendance were female players, game officials, coaches, team managers, equipment managers, result managers and for the first time, the IIHF operated a 5-day long program for the leaders of the female game.
