Chinese Taipei-Hong Kong (March 31)

Chinese Taipei 3 - Hong Kong 1

Skill, speed, physical play, emotions - all those were on stage when Hong Kong started the tournament against Chinese Taipei. Hong Kong opened up the score four-and-a-half minutes down the first period, but Chinese Taipei equalized sex minutes later on a power play after Hong Kong had taken a penalty for too many men on ice. Chinese Taipei scored another one through the traffic at the end of the first period earning a lead before the first intermission. Early in the second period, Chinese Taipei scored its second power-play goal from the back post making it 3-1 for the home team. In a less intensive third period the score remained the same, giving Chinese Taipei a clean record after the first two games in the tournament.
