Hong Kong-Macau (April 3)

Hong Kong 2 - Macau 0

In the second game of the day, Hong Kong and Macau started to go after the change to play for the fifth position in the tournament against Mongolia. In the first period, Hong Kong took the control of the game and Macau mostly stayed low waiting for the opponent’s mistakes. Good scoring opportunities seemed to be avoided as both teams kept the half of the game scoreless despite a number of power plays. At 32:18, Hong Kong got to the lead scoring a one-timer from in front of the net. The second goal for Hong Kong followed the same pattern with a puck forced through the goalie's pads after a cross-ice pass seven minutes down in the third period. Although the remainder of the period was played at Macau's defensive end, the score remained the same taking Hong Kong to play Mongolia for the fifth place and Macau to meet Kuwait for the seventh position in the tournament.
