Kuwait-Macau (April 4)

Kuwait 2 - Macau 0

How much energy for hockey there is left after seven days in the tournament seemed to be the question going to the final day. For Kuwait, the game against Macau was the one to end a four week hockey excursion with three weeks in a pre-tournament camp in Bangkok, Thailand. To get the most out of the invested time, Kuwait came out with determination and took the lead with six minutes remaining in the first period. In the second period, Kuwait kept on controlling the game without much action at their defensive zone. Despite the constant pressure, Macau was able to keep the score tight not allowing Kuwait to get closer to a goal than hitting the post twice. In third period action, Kuwait continued as the more active team on ice while Macau was penalized a number of times as they had difficulties in handling the speed of the game. At 46:00, Kuwait got its second game of the day which remained as the last one. Kuwait ends up in seventh place and Macau in eighth position in the tournament.
