In the first game of the second day, the United Arab Emirates started to go after their first win in the tournament by getting into the lead with a goal from Saeed Al Nuaimi at 2:08. With goals from Suhail Al Mehairi and Ahmed Al Mazrouei in the latter half of the period, it was 3-0 for the Emirates going into the first intermission. UAE defined the pace for the remainder of the game as well adding three more goals in second and two goals in third for a total of eight goals with Al Mehairi personally contributing with four. Macau, albeit defending vigorously throughout the game, was not able to create good enough scoring chances and remained scoreless in the game.
