Below are the 25-man rosters of each Champions Hockey League team for each game day. Rosters will be made available one day prior to the game. Out of this 25-man roster, the teams will select 22 players (20 skaters and 2 goalkeepers) who can be in the line-up for Wednesday’s game.

2008-2009 transfer deadlines

++ Transfer deadline for the Qualifying Tournament in Nuremberg:
Monday, September 4.

Any new player transferring with respect to this deadline must be registered with the new club latest at midnight on September 4. This transfer deadline refers only to the Sinupret Ice Tigers Nuremberg (GER), SC Bern (SUI) and HC Kosice (SVK).

++ First Champions Hockey League Group Stage transfer deadline:
Tuesday, September 30.
The players that the 12 clubs register on this date are eligible to take part in the first three rounds of the Group Stage: October 8, 22 and 29.

++ Transfer Period, October 30 – November 3. During this five-day period, the clubs can register two (2) new players for the purpose of Champions Hockey League participation.

++ Final transfer deadline:
Monday, November 3. (Second part of the Group Stage starts on November 12). After November 3, no more changes can be made to the clubs’ Champions Hockey League rosters. The rosters that the clubs register with the IIHF as of this deadline are final for the remainder of the 2008-2009 Champions Hockey League season. The last game of the home-and-away final is on January 28.

NOTE: A player cannot compete for two Champions Hockey League teams in one season. There will be no nationality restrictions as far as player eligibility is concerned in the Champions Hockey League.

Returning NHL players

An NHL player may return and play for their CHL club at any time* prior to the November 3 deadline if he had signed a contract with an NHL club for the 2008-2009 season and is eligible to return to the European club with approval by both the IIHF and the NHL,  if:

a) he played for the relevant CHL club during the 2007-2008 season.
or:
b) he played for the relevant CHL club during three full consecutive seasons prior to the 2007-2008 season, meaning the seasons 2004-2005, 2004-2006 and 2005-2007.

Note: If the player played for more than one IIHF club during the 2007-2008 season, he may return to any of the clubs he represented during that season providing that his return is in accordance with applicable transfer regulations.  

* For clarity: A returning NHL player who fullfills the provisions a) or b) must be registered at the latest on Monday and be on the 25-man roster, prior to Wednesday's game.

Examples:
a) Nikolai Kumelin (Toronto Maple Leafs / Metallurg Magnitogorsk), Jonas Junland (St. Louis Blues / Linköpings HC)
b) Vladimir Subotka (Boston Bruins / Slavia Prague)
