Mountfield in trading mood

Vitezslav Bilek and Richard Jares to Ceske Budejovice

CESKE BUDEJOVICE, Czech Republic –  Long-time captain Peter Sailer was traded from Mountfield Ceske Budejovice to HC Karlovy Vary. Ceske Budejovice got Vitezslav Bilek in the trade.

The 25-year-old forward Bilek joined Karlovy Vary in 2007 and before that played for HC Kladno. He also had an 18-game stint with Finland's Kärpät Oulu in 2005-06. In 275 games in the Czech Extraliga he has 60 goals and 59 assists.

Mountfield also acquired defeceman Richard Jares from Bili Tygri Liberec in exchange for forward Jiri Simanek.

The 27-year-old Jares played 227 games in the Czech Extraliga for Liberec and Znojmo, scoring 15 goals and 24 assists.

Both Bilek and Jares are eligible to play in the Champions Hockey League only as of the November 12th home game against Salavat Yulayev Ufa.
