How was ice hockey played in 1898?  How did it get from Canada to Europe, and how has it developed over the last 100 years?

In co-operation with the IIHF, Slovakian Television STV produced a unique documentary featuring the most important moments of international ice hockey since the foundation of the IIHF on May 15, 1908.

The DVD includes unique pictures of IIHF tournaments from 1910, Canadian dominance in the pre-war era, the emergence of the Soviet „Big Red Machine” on the international ice hockey scene.

Also included is the 1972 Summit Series between Canada and the Soviet Union, the 1980 Olympic U.S. Miracle on Ice, the upset Czechoslovakian victories over the Soviet union, a Swedish goal that made it all the way to a postage stamp, the golden Swedish double in 2006, memories of hockey legends, and much historical film documentation.
