STOCKHOLM/HELSINKI – The 16 participating nations get in shape for Friday’s start of the 2013 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Stockholm and Helsinki.
The players from European leagues have been conducting national team camps and participated in exhibition games over the last few weeks while over 70 players join their national squads straight from their NHL teams following the end of the regular season.
Click here to see the preliminary rosters from the national teams that include players currently on the camp as well as players who committed to join their national teams in Stockholm and Helsinki.The teams will register a minimum of 17 players (15 skaters, two goalkeepers) at the meeting of the tournament directorate. The official rosters will be published on IIHF.com on Thursday night.
The maximum number of players that can be registered is 22 skaters and three goalkeepers. Players can be added until two hours before a game throughout the tournament until the roster is full. 20 skaters and two goalkeepers from the roster can be dressed for a game.
