BELGRADE – After the start of the Champions Hockey League also the second European club competition begins it season when Group A of the first round kicks off today in the Serbian capital of Belgrade.

During the three-week round-robin tournament Partizan Belgrade will host the Rishon Devils from Israel, Bulgarian champion CSKA Sofia and Turkish champion Zeytinburnu Istanbul at the Ice Rink Pionir.

All games will be streamed live and a live ticker will be available on IIHF.com.

The winner of the event will advance Group C of the second round that also includes the Coventry Blaze (Great Britain), host GKS Tychy (Poland) and Dunarea Galati (Romania). Group B will be played with Mogo Riga (Latvia), Acroni Jesenice (Slovenia), Miskolci Jegesmedvek (Hungary) and CH Jaca (Spain). Both events will take place from 23 to 25 October with each tournament winner advancing to the third round.

The third round with groups in Asiago, Italy, and Rouen, France, will be staged 20-22 November to determine the participants for the final tournament to be played 8-10 January 2016. The Continental Cup winner will again get a chance to play in the Champions Hockey League in 2016/2017 subject to formal approval by the CHL Board.
