+ As of November, Slovan Bratislava made it to the top of the Slovak Extraleague rankings again with 8 victories in a row and more on the way. The team is at the number one spot after 22 games, but the competition is going strong along with Dukla Trencin, last season’s runner-up.
+ Three Slovan players will join the Slovak national team during the November international break. Defensemen Jozef Kovacik and Michal Sersen and forward Marek Uram were all named to the squad.
+ As of the November international break, Slovan's leading scorer was Marek Uram, despite the fact that he is not on the team's top line which includes Miroslav Lazo, Robert Dome and Michal Hreus.
+ In October, Slovan signed Swedish forward Robert Dome to a three-year contract. Dome comes to Slovan from another 2008 participating ECC squad, MODO.
+ At the end of September, the team to beat in the Slovak league is Dukla Trencin. But defending champion, Slovan is close on on their heels, in second place with 17 points in their first nine games. The top-two teams met early in the season, with Dukla winning 2-1 in a shootout.
+ This is Slovan Bratislava's second time participating in the ECC. The squad is one of four teams making repeat performances at the annual event.
