Final Round from 188 Euros, Preliminary Round from 40 Euros
The 2011 IIHF World Championship Organizing committee released the ticket prices along with the dates and means of sale. Ticket sales starts on the 27th of September 2010 at 11:00 a.m. The 2011 IIHF WM itself starts in the two largest Slovak cities – Bratislava and Košice - on the 29th April 2011 and concludes on the 15th May 2011.
The Bratislava O. Nepela Arena has a 9´246 seat capacity for the championship, from which 7´704 tickets will be on sale for each game. In Košice the capacity is 7´628 seats, with each dual having 6´088 tickets up for grabs.
Single game tickets for preliminary and qualifying round will be in two price categories - Bratislava for 55 and 40 Euros and in Košice for 55 and 30 Euros. Final round will be played out in Bratislava. Quarter-final tickets cost 100 and 83 Euros, semi-final tickets 150 and 112 Euros. Bronze medal game tickets 120 and 90 Euros and gold medal game tickets cost 250 and 188 Euros. The cheapest tickets will be for the relegation round – Bratislava games will cost 19 and 14 Euros and Košice games 19 and 10 Euros.
The official ticket sales partner is www. ticketportal.sk. Championship tickets can be purchased in person from P.O.S. in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovenia (and in Russia and Belarus from October), or via the internet all around the world.
Event tickets for the entire 2011 IIHF World Championship and round ticket packages will be made available from the 27th of September. The second phase of ticket sales starts on the 1st of December and day tickets for two or three games will be made available. The final phase of sales in which single game tickets will be available starts on the 1st of February 2011.
