COLOGNE/MANNHEIM – The German and Swiss national teams have completed their 23-man rosters by adding Daniel Kreutzer and Morris Trachsler respectively.
Germany added veteran forward Daniel Kreutzer before the game against Denmark.
Head coach Uwe Krupp left one roster spot open for the first two games before registering the 30-year-old Düsseldorf player last night. Kreutzer will play his 187th game for the national team today.
Switzerland added a 20th skater too with 25-year-old forward Morris Trachsler. The Genève-Servette player is now registered to play his first-ever World Championship game tonight against Canada.
Belarus, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia and Switzerland have filled their rosters for the Preliminary Round with 20 skaters and three goalkeepers while all other teams can still add players:
Canada: 1 goalkeeper
Czech Republic: 1 goalkeeper
France: 1 goalkeeper
Norway: 1 skater
Russia: 1 skater
Slovakia: 1 goalkeeper, 1 skater
Sweden: 2 skaters
USA: 1 goalkeeper
Two additional players can be added following the Preliminary Round.
