HELSINKI – The Finnish Ice Hockey Association announced that its goalkeeper Kari Lehtonen suffered a lower-body injury.
The Dallas Stars goalie was injured in the last period of yesterday’s 5-0 loss to the United States when an American player fell and took Lehtonen down with him.
He will be out of the line-up until further notice, the Finnish national team announced.
The other goalkeepers on the team are Petri Vehanen, who played two games, and Karri Rämö. Both play in the Russian KHL for Ak Bars Kazan and Avangard Omsk respectively. |
