BERNE, Switzerland – Sweden club Frolunda Gothenburg and forward Martin Pluss cancelled their contract, which was valid for two more years, by mutual agreement.
After four years with Frolunda, Pluss will return to his native Switzerland, signing a three-year contract with SC Bern. It’s his third professional club after playing with Frolunda and the Kloten Flyers. With SC Bern, he will not only play with one of the favourites of the Swiss National League A, but also in the Champions Hockey League qualification tournament, September 12-14. Prior to the Victoria Cup, SC Bern will also be the first Swiss club to play an NHL team when they face the New York Rangers on September 30.

Pluss played 231 games in the Swedish Elitserien and had 73 goals and 74 assists. The centre appeared also in 167 games with the Swiss national team but was cut from 2008 World Championship team in Canada.
