Three teams have added players prior to their games on Tuesday evening.
Belarus filled its roster to 20 skaters and three goalkeepers by adding 18-year-old defenceman Kirill Gotovets of the USHS’s Shattuck St. Mary’s and 28-year-old forward Artyom Senkevich from Belarusian champion Yunost Minsk.
The Swedish national team made true the previously announced addition of Michael Nylander, 37, as 18th skater on the roster. The former NHL forward most recently played for Jokerit Helsinki in Finland.
The Swedes’ opponent France filled its contingent of 20 skaters by registering Stéphane Da Costa, a 20-year-old forward who completed his first NCAA Division I season with the Merrimack College.
Belarus, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Kazakhstan and Latvia have filled their rosters for the Preliminary Round while all other teams can still add players:
Canada: 1 goalkeeper
Czech Republic: 1 goalkeeper
France: 1 goalkeeper
Germany: 1 skater
Norway: 1 skater
Russia: 1 skater
Switzerland: 1 skater
Slovakia: 1 goalkeeper, 1 skater
Sweden: 2 skaters
USA: 1 goalkeeper
Each team can add two additional players after the conclusion of the Preliminary Round.
